How to Select a Home Stair Chair Lift

Falls down stairs is a leading cause of injury and death among the elderly. If you or a loved one have a mobility problem, you know what a struggle it can be to get up and down stairs. Many disabled and elderly struggle with stairs in their homes every day, and think there is no other option.

There is however another option - purchase a chair lift for stairs in your hone. These mobility devices allow a person to be transported easily up and down a flight of stairs, without fear of falling. However, many people would assume that a stair chair lift in their home is prohibitively expensive and out of their reach.

While it is true that chair lifts for stairs can be very expensive, in recent years prices have declined quite a bit due to competition in the marketplace, and they may be cheaper than you think. It is worth while doing some price comparison shopping online. After all, having the freedom to move about your home and being able to do so is priceless.

My Dad in his later years avoided the second story of their ranch home in Montana, which was too bad--his office was up there. A chair lift would have been just the thing.

I sometimes fear the future concerning my parents as they (nor anyone else) are getting any younger. My mom is now in her early 60's and my dad is in his early 70's. Both are still very strong but one day us kids might just have to resort to purchasing them something like this.

You're definitely going in the right direction! Great first hub!
